General Conditions for Car Rental in Venice and Treviso

1. Rental Requirements

Per accedere al servizio di noleggio auto, il conducente deve avere almeno 21 anni, possedere una patente di guida valida da almeno 3 anni (categoria B) e presentare un documento d’identità in corso di validità. Il noleggio è possibile anche senza carta di credito; in tal caso, il deposito cauzionale dovrà essere versato in contanti oppure mediante carta di debito. Tutti i documenti devono essere presentati in originale al momento del ritiro del veicolo.

2.Security Deposit

The minimum required deposit is €350 and may vary depending on the type of insurance chosen (Basic, Medium, Premium) and the vehicle category (city car, standard, SUV, premium). The deposit is fully refunded within 1–3 working days after the return of the car, provided that no damages or violations have been found.

3. Booking and Payment

The booking is considered confirmed only after written communication from our side. Payment may be requested partially or in full in advance and can be made by credit card, debit card, cash, or bank transfer.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup. In case of cancellation between 48 and 24 hours before, a 30% penalty will be applied. For cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or in case of no-show, a 100% penalty will be charged.

5. Vehicle Pickup and Return

È possibile ritirare e consegnare l’auto presso l’Aeroporto di Treviso, l’Aeroporto di Venezia, stazioni ferroviarie, hotel o sedi partner. Il servizio di ritiro in un aeroporto e riconsegna in un altro è disponibile con un supplemento di €50. Per ritiri o riconsegne effettuati in orari notturni o nei giorni festivi, si applica una tassa aggiuntiva di €30. L’auto deve essere riconsegnata con lo stesso livello di carburante con cui è stata consegnata. Il cliente è responsabile per eventuali danni, ritardi o mancanze riscontrate al momento della riconsegna.

6. Vehicle Use

The vehicle may only be used within Italian territory; leaving the national borders is allowed exclusively with written authorization. It is strictly forbidden to use the car for competitions, illegal activities, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as transporting hazardous goods. The customer is responsible for all fines, penalties, damages, or tolls resulting from improper use or negligence.

7. Available Insurance

All vehicles include mandatory third-party liability insurance (RCA). Three levels of coverage are available: Basic – included free of charge, Medium – €15 per day (reduces the deductible and the deposit), and Premium – €20 per day (maximum protection). The higher the chosen coverage, the lower the required deposit and the greater the protection offered.

8. Roadside Assistance and Breakdowns

9. Vehicle Return

The car must be returned clean and in good condition. Every 2 hours of delay may result in the charge of an extra day. Additional fees may also be applied for extraordinary cleaning, as well as for any damages, negligence, or improper use of the vehicle.

For any legal dispute, the competent court is: Court of Venice, Italy.

Car Rental Insurance Venice Treviso – Types of Coverage

Rent a Car Venice offers three levels of insurance, with different conditions and costs, to meet various rental needs.

Premium Insurance – €20.00 per day

The Premium insurance offers full coverage for vehicle damage and completely excludes financial liability in case of theft, even in areas considered high-risk such as Puglia, Campania, and Sicily. The protection includes bodywork, tires, windows, interiors, and mechanical components. It also covers damages caused by weather events, vandalism, and fire.

Underbody damages are included, as well as priority roadside assistance available 24 hours a day. The handling of administrative procedures in case of accident or theft is fully covered, including technical and administrative expenses. The package also includes a second driver, young and senior drivers, as well as international transit.

This plan is recommended for long-term rentals or interregional and international trips.

Medium Insurance – €15.00 per day

The Medium insurance provides a balance between coverage and cost. It includes full coverage for vehicle damage and excludes liability in case of theft, except in high-risk areas where coverage is limited to 50%. The protection applies to bodywork, tires, windows, interiors, and mechanical components. Damages caused by bad weather, vandalism, and fire are also included.

Underbody damages are included, as well as roadside assistance available 24 hours a day. The handling of procedures related to accidents and theft is provided, except in high-risk areas. Administrative and downtime costs are also included. The package covers a second driver, young and senior drivers, and international transit.

This plan is suitable for frequent travelers and families.

Basic Insurance – €0.00 per day

L’assicurazione Basic rappresenta la soluzione economica con copertura essenziale. Prevede una responsabilità fino a €1.390,00 per danni al veicolo e fino a €1.800,00 in caso di furto, indipendentemente dalla zona. La protezione di base comprende carrozzeria, pneumatici, cristalli, interni e componenti meccanici, oltre ai danni derivanti da eventi atmosferici, vandalismo e incendi.

L’assistenza stradale è inclusa, così come le spese di gestione e il fermo tecnico. Non sono compresi il secondo conducente, i conducenti sotto i 25 e sopra i 65 anni e il transito internazionale.
